Even though I am a Mac user these days, my interest in computers and career began with PCs. Perhaps that is why I still am drawn to ultrabook PCs and so keep looking for a PC laptop that could work for me daily.
The Samsung Series 9 15″ has caught my eye. Unlike too many PC laptop clones, it actually looks and feels well constructed.
Although the series 9 barely weighs much at 3.63 pounds and is 0.58 inches thin, the hardware inside Samsung NP900X4C isn’t a joke.
There are three different models available in the US, all 15″:
- the entry level A01US
- mid-range A02US
- and top-of-the-line A03US
Both Samsung NP900X4C-A01US and NP900X4C-A02US come loaded with:
- Intel 1.7 GHz Core i5-3317U Processor
- 8 GB DDR3 RAM
- 128 GB Solid-State Hard Drive
- 15.0-Inch Screen
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Samsung NP900X4C-A03US comes loaded with:
- Intel 1.9 GHz Core i7-3517U Processor
- 8 GB DDR3 RAM
- 256 GB Solid-State Hard Drive
- 15-Inch Screen
- Windows 7 Professional (64-bit)
The computer is Not without flaws
- It has no mini display port video output
- 1600 x 900 resolution is not the best out there
I hope I will be unboxing one soon.
Good luck in your Ultrabook shopping!
