When you have no affiliations, but like me, have an unexplainable unboxing addiction, it is great when a neighbor agrees to feed your habit and let you unbox their gadget purchases, however large or small. That is exactly the case with this entry.
My neighbor ordered the Belkin Conserve Valet Smart USB Changing Station in an attempt to clean up his key, phone, wallet area at home. He has one of those messy landing spaces for his pocket items, and needs power there to keep his device batteries charged
The main unit came in a plain cardboard box with a tiny user guide, power cord, and 2 USB cords (USB to micro usb and to micro usb). No apple connector though, probably because they would have licensing fees that would make the device prohibitively expensive.
The Valet itself
- Has 4 USB ports
- Black slip resistant surface
- White Base
It is designed so that you can plug in the USB cords in the back and wrap the wire around the side through the guiding holes so the cord can charge from the bottom. The charger has an on/off button on top.
Basically, this unit is a nifty little organizer to charge your devices, like phones and game players.
I’m interested in something similar, but I’m still looking for a contact charger that suits my needs, one which doesn’t require a bulky add-on to the device or plugging in to the charging unit.
